Peacegate Acquires MV Davidson to Boost Offshore Operations

A Nigerian owned service provider in the oil and gas industry that acquired Seaway Rover vessels recently, Peacegate Oil and Gas, has bought MV Davidson in order to expand its offshore services.

Mr. Ayorinde Adedoyin, Managing Director of Peacegate, said the company bought MV Davidson in addition to the American Seaway Rover vessels to achieve its vision of becoming the biggest local offshore maritime and logistics support service provider to the oil major before the end of 2008.

Adedoyin said the company is set to provide outstanding maritime solutions, fleet management, security and rescue operations, ship management and procurement services in the industry.

He expressed that the company intends to begin operation in Sao Tome Algeria and Angola soonest. He said with the expansion in services, the company would appoint expatriates who would train Nigerians in order to make jobs available.

He finally implored the federal government to ensure strict adherence so that indigenous service providers are protected.

Dangote Sugar Prepares More Packages

In order to make its product available in every part of Nigeria and at affordable prices to families, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, a subsidiary of Dangote Group of Company, is re-packaging its sugar into different sizes.

In additional to the 50kg size of Dangote Vitamin A fortified sugars, other packages to be introduced are 20g, 1kg and 500g.

Mr. Sule Abdullahi, Managing Director of the company said the introduction of the new packages would aid its availability across the country and at effective prices.

PNN to Take 20 Nigerians to Nations Cup
