UAC of Nigeria Grows by N18.27b in Half Year

The UAC of Nigeria Plc has recorded an increase of 28.4% in all its turnover of N18.27 billion for the period of June 30, 2008 over the N14.23 billion of the same period in year 2007.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) of N2.85 billion was recorded which is an increase of 75% as against the N1.65 billion of last year while the PBT (including monitoring interest) rose to N3.17 billion, a change of 46.1% against the N2.14 of the period under review. Read more

Intercontinental Bank Secures $100m Credit Line From US-Etim Bank

The Export Import Bank of the United States has expanded its credit lines to Intercontinental Bank plc from $27million to $100million, a move analyst said signifies implicit confidence of the US government in the Nigerian economy in and Intercontinental Bank in particular.
A statement from the Bank’s Vice President Trade Finance and Insurance, Jeffery Abramson, said the new line was an acknowledgment of Intercontinental Bank’s active facility utilization and financial performance. Read more

Harvard Trust Savings and Loans (HTSL) Limited, a foremost mortgage banking institution in the South East recently received double honours under the auspices of FESADEC Communications, REDAN and Association of Housing Corporations in Nigeria (AHCN).
