African leaders and aviation experts will today converge in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to proffer solutions to the dwindling fortune of the industry.

The two-day summit, which will have in attendance the Ethiopian President, Girma Wolde-Giorgis, will look at ways the continent can tap into the changes in the global industry, particularly, the liberalisation of air transport, tackling infrastructure decay and the economic meltdown, which has put many airlines on the edge.

Vice President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State to unite in order to make the party stronger and more focused.

Speaking at a meeting with Party stalwarts in Owerri at the weekend, Jonathan said that he was in the state to solicit support for the building of a national secretariat for the PDP, noting that the fund for building a befitting edifice for the party should not come from the coffers of the state government.
