Indomie Wins Multiple Awards, Reaffirms Leadership Position

Indomie instant Noodles, Nigeria’s No. 1 noodles brand and children’s most favourite meal manufactured by Dufil Prima Foods Plc has further reaffirmed its leadership position in the noodles segment of the Nigerian food market by clinching multiple important Awards recently.

The Awards include ‘Overall Most Trusted Brand in 2011’ which was awarded to the band after a careful research conducted by Brand Health Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading brand/marketing research firms in Nigeria amongst 200 top brands in the country, the DAME (Diamond Awards for Media Excellence) award for best commercial in consumer goods category at the 2011. The Indomie Mama Do Good commercial won the Award at the 20th edition of the awards which took place recently at the Sheraton Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.

Indomie also won an Excellence Award presented by the National Associations of Nigerian Students (NANS) in recognition of the outstanding and valuable contribution of Dufil Prima Foods Plc to the development and growth of the education sector through its CSR initiatives support at all levels Primary, secondary and Tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Speaking on the Awards, the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc. Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju noted that the Awards has further reinstate the leadership status of Indomie Noodles as the number one noodle brand in Nigeria.

Ashiwaju described the Excellence Award given to the brand and the company by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) as a very symbolic one which clearly indicates that the huge investment in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is recognized and appreciated.

“Indomie won several awards but I must say that the one presented to us by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) is a very symbolic and special one which shows that the company’s contribution is recognized and this will spur the company to do even more” he said.

On the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME) Awards, Ashiwaju stated that the Mama Do Good commercial deserves the awards as it has warmed its way into the hearts of many Nigerians and became a sort of national anthem among them.
