The Anambra State government has commenced the ejection of all traders along the Bridge-head end of the Onitsha market, most of whom are Hausas and Yorubas.
Daily Trust gathered that about three years ago, a quit notice was issued by the state’s Ministry of Environment to the traders to leave the area, but the exercise was halted due to some factors.
This latest quit notice, it was gathered was issued by the Special Adviser to Governor Peter Obi on Parks and Markets, Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor.
