For a state with a cardinal objective to pursue peace and security, to fall under the siege of kidnappers and armed robbers, spells a lot of challenge to the state government. That probably explains why the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has always spared no effort in dealing with all security challenges in the state.
Besides the regular security council meetings that hold in the state where the security situation is reviewed and strategies re-tooled, the security agencies are given all forms of state support to enable them succeed and remarkably address the crime index in the state.
This has not only rekindled the devotion of security men, including the police to combat all forms of social malfeasance in the state; it also paid off yesterday with the arrest, yet again, of two suspected kidnappers that have been linked to several kidnappings and armed robbery incidents in the state.
