We are a Retail Financial Institution with operations in Lagos & Ibadan. Our offerings include Microfinance, Retail & Consumer finance as well as Mortgages. We are in the process of strengthening our middle management team and are looking to fill vacancies at Assistant Manager Level across our Lagos Operations.

The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Manage company operations @ branch/team levels
  • Have direct responsibility for the activities of the marketing/credit officers that report to each team/branch
  • Sell and coordinate the selling of the company’s various products in the team/branch
  • Have direct responsibility for the quality of the team’s loan portfolio in terms of:
  • Prompt repayment & collection from clients
  • Age analysis of loan portfolio for proper monitoring
  • Collection of delinquent loans
  • Ensure accurate & timely activity reporting of team/branch’s activities via weekly reports, loan portfolio reports and monthly profitability reports

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or any other related field
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in credit marketing, credit administration in a financial institution
  • Team lead/management experience is compulsory
  • A related professional qualification will be an added advantage

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications with particular emphasis on Word, Excel & Power Point
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with, and accomplish deadlines
  • A sound knowledge of the basics of lending, loan analysis and portfolio management

This global financial services group has multi-billion dollar revenues and is expanding rapidly, both through organic growth and acquisition. It offers a broad range of financial products to both corporate and retail customers worldwide. Nigeria is a key growth region for the bank and it seeks to recruit a talented, senior HR professional as Head of HR.

This person will be an integral part of the bank’s Executive Committee and will represent and champion all people and organisational development across the business. He/she will play a leading role in creating a commercial, professional HR function that embraces the national identity of the Nigerian business in tandem with operating in a group structure.

This is a senior role that will require strategic leadership of the HR team, in addition to helping develop the HR function to become an integral part of the business. Graduate qualified or equivalent, the individual will have multinational experience in a B2B environment as a broad HR generalist. A track-record of formulating HR strategy and implementing HR operations within a complex, matrix structure is a prerequisite. Experience of working in Nigeria and current knowledge of the country is essential.

Candidates must possess proven leadership skills and be capable of operating as part of an Executive Committee. They must have a high degree of gravitas and the ability to influence, coupled with well developed strategic and commercial skills. Experience of working in blue-chip multinational businesses is vital.

Lead accounting & controllership for Energy Services with emphasis on sub-region specific Controllership, Stat & Tax requirements

  • Support and participate in distributed controllership activities
  • GEGAP responsibilities: preparation and review of DR4, Acct / Reconciliation, DT/DF (Dirt), Invoicing and customer relationship with regards to A/R
  • Manage tax compliance (WHT, VAT). Translate sub-region Tax & Compliance challenges into feedback to sales & commercial teams

Qualifications
