Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, on Wednesday in Abuja gave an assurance that the Senate would next month pass into law, the Freedom of Information Bill.
Speaking at the 2010 Founders Day Lecture of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Ekweremadu however said that some restrictions would be incorporated into the bill to safeguard it from abuse.

A retired senior police officer, Mr Elaigwu Agbogo, has dragged First Bank Plc to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over an alleged ATM fraud in his account with the bank.
Speaking yesterday to Vanguard, Agbogo said his action followed the complacency exhibited by the bank, after he made several reports on the matter to the management of the bank.
