Gvernors of the 36 states of the federation have asked the Minister of Finance Mansur Muhtar to commence investigation of the N1.15 trillion claim made by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as petroleum subsidy from 2005 till date. Also the Federal Government may have begun the process of checking the national oil company’s claim.

The Acting President yesterday went straight to the seat of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Council Chambers.
He occupied the seat. And for the first time, he presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting as the Acting President.
