Defending Champions, Astro All Stars were at the weekend defeated 0-1 by Team Classic FM,who won the second edition of the Radisson Blu Charity Football Cup.

The competition which was organised by Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in conjunction with TacticsIQ Limited,was made up of eight teams,who played in a five-aside tournament.

Defending Champions,Astro All Stars in their group game,where they were tied on four points with Team Mtech.

Classic FM emerged tops after pipping Astro All Stars,that had celebrities like TV compere, Frank Edoho of (Who wants to be a millionaire) in their team.

Having won the competition,the Classic FM team will now have the luxury of spending a Night at the Prestigious Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, with complimentary Breakfast to go with.

Frank Edoho of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ was one of the stand out players for Astro All Stars.

Speaking of the company’s goals towards the programme,General manager of the hotel, Stanilas Kondov said: “This kind of programme will be on a yearly basis,but while we go through the year,we have certain programmes that runs in our hotel: we do certain training with our staff,regarding their environment,we also do certain programmes where we recycle foods and use it for compact.”

“So all these are ongoing,every single month and year, we are going to keep running certain events, that is going to help our society,that is also going to help our workers which they can use at home as well” Kondov added.

“We started this event last year,and made it bigger this year,next year will probably be even bigger because obviously it becomes a lot better organised,people want to support the course,there is an international and local foundation which they benefit from and we are going to get more involved.”
