In order to support the government in enhancing the security of the state, Access Bank Plc, has presented a cheque of N100 million to the Lagos state government for security assistance.
At the presentation of the cheque to the Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola at the Alausa Secretariat recently, the Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said the funding is in fulfillment of its commitment to assisting the government in tackling crime in the state.
Aig-Imoukhuede noted that the bank’s previous donation of N50 million has been doubled to N100 million. He then called on other corporate bodies and well meaning individuals to come to the aid of the state in the area of security because of the states’ status.
In appreciation of the funding, the state governor, Babatunde Fashola, said the state can only achieve its aim of protecting lives and properties in the state when corporate organisations emulate Access Bank.
