Cisco Technology to Build 100 Networking Academies in Nigeria

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, a leader in the networking solutions of Nigeria, Cisco Technologies, has unveiled plans to add to the available 40 small network academies built in strategic areas of Nigeria to make it 100.

The network academies would be built in such areas as communities, institutions and colleges in order to enhance the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and enable people achieve their goals through technology.

Mr. Emenike Maduka, Managing Director, Cisco Nigeria, asserted that there would be an automatic job opportunity for students of the academy in any of the 3 leading telecommunication service providers in Nigeria due to the 21st century IT knowledge impact into them.

Maduka further explained that more academies would be built nationwide by the year 2010. He implored students to take advantage of the centres in their areas as the opportunity in it abounds.

Natthakarn Kongprawat, a US graduate of the institution testified to the quality of IT skills imparted in the academy. He said with skills imparted in him, he was able to work for M&C and received an unimaginable salary.
