Dana Donates Learning Materials to Schools in Lagos State

Dana Industries Limited has commenced a visit to public and private schools in Lagos State donating learning materials to them.
According to a statement from the company, the programme was kicked off with a visit by the Sun Yum team to Living Spring Montessori Primary School, Ilasamaja Primary School in Mushin, and schools around Maryland area before moving to schools in Aguda, Ifako, Owode, Ketu, and Okokomaiko in Lagos State.
Speaking on the programme, Marketing Manager of Dana Industries Limited, Mr. Arvind Mamgain, said that the Back to School programme was aimed at making learning fun for pupils and teaching easier for their teachers by providing the basic education materials that are needed in the classrooms.
Items donated by the company included pencil boxes, writing materials, wall charts, exercise books, cartons of Sun Yum Instant Noodles and Aquadana water.
Speaking while receiving the items, the head teacher of Ring O Bells Nursery and Primary School, Owode-Onirin, Ikorodu, Mr. Taiwo Adeniyi said, “We are grateful to Dana Industries for showing interest in our pupils’ welfare. These colourful wall charts will not only encourage learning, it will also beautify our classrooms. We want to use this opportunity to call on other corporate bodies to reach out to schools and pupils with sponsorships and scholarship to reduce the rate of drop outs.”
Managing Director of Dana Industries Limited, Mr. Gautam Hathiramani, described the Sun Yum ‘Back to School’ programme as a conscious effort by his company to positively impact the lives of children who are major consumers of Sun Yum Instant Noodles by building links with pupils, teachers and their schools, thereby supporting learning and preparing children for the future.
He disclosed that his company is presently discussing with selected schools in the area of infrastructural improvement.
The Sun Yum ‘Back to School’ promotion is expected to cover a good number of public and private schools across the 57 local government areas in Lagos State.
