Dangote Sugar Gets Best Company Award in Nigeria

At the last Thisday annual national award for outstanding companies in Nigeria, Dangote Sugar was announced the “Best Company of the year 2007” among several companies that were nominated.
The same company won the award for the “Best African IPO” organized by Africa Investors Index series in June 2007, the “Best Quoted Company in the Food and Beverage sector” and the “2nd Best Quoted Company” on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in November 2007.
Ngozi Ngene, Head of Corporate Affairs, Dangote Sugar, attributed the award to the company’s excellent performances in quality delivery and pursuit to becoming a world acclaimed company.
She noted that such things as; the introduction of consumer convenient packages of Vitamin A fortified sugar in 500g, 250g and 1kg, the export of Dangote Sugar products to the West Africa sub region and the expansion projects at Apapa and Algeria as well as continuous quality delivery to its customers would boost the company’s financial level.
