HP Nigeria Urge Customers to Beware

A technological distributor giant and leading provider of technological solutions and services for businesses across the globe, HP, (Hewlett Packard) has called on its customers in Nigeria to beware of fake products sold in the company’s name.
Mr. Ime Umoh, Managing Director, HP, Nigeria, said there is need to alert people about the rate at which fake technological products flood the market. He noted that HP will not be liable for any product not bought at its designated channels.
Umoh said a recent study by the Alliance for Grey market and Counterfeit Abatement and KPMG noted that $40 billion IT products are sold worldwide annually.
Mrs. Tarae Onyeje, the Category Manager of HP Nigeria, added that customers who purchase the products from unauthourised distributors will deprive themself of such benefits as access to HP service centre, waranty on products purchased and many more.
Onyeje said HP is committed to providing quality services to all its customers be it in the business sector, government and individual so as to enable Nigerians compete in the global world of technology .
