Speaking at the event held at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja, Haresh Aswani, Chairman, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, said the children are honoured for the good they have done to our national life by their heroic actions.
“Many times I’ve tried to find an adequate definition of heroism, of bravery. I wanted to find a description that would cover these extraordinary deeds that would tell us something about the lives of these little children before whom we stand in admiration and awe. Feats of their
extraordinary courage and determination in situations that ordinarily would bring fear, discouragement and self pity are almost incomprehensible to us but they also put us all to the test”.
According to Aswani, the main aim of the leading noodles manufacturer is to show the bravery of these youngsters to the world and inspire other children in emulating these deeds of bravery.
He stated that Nigeria is no doubt indeed fortunate and blessed to have young people with this nature of service and milk of human kindness flowing in them. He said the future of this great country is secured with them as citizens and that’s why the company believes they need to be
recognised and celebrated publicly to encourage their selfless acts of heroism and patriotism.
In her remarks, the First Lady, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua ably represented by Mrs. Mrs. Adaku Odom, Wife of the Minister of State for FCT, commended the efforts of the management of Dufil Prima Foods Plc for the initiative and congratulated them for the great achievement.

She stated that the government and people of Nigeria are happy to be part of the company’s success story and are encouraged by the drive of the company. “We are also optimistic that your vision will continue to complement the determination of Government at ensuring that Nigerian Children have a better future”.
