Nem insurance Plc records highest turnover on NSE last Friday

The floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) last week witnessed buoyant activities as investors actively traded stocks of their choices.

Among stocks traded Nem Insurance Plc recorded the highest turnover volume of 254,043,799 units of ordinary shares shedding 10kobo and closed at N2.01 per share. Nem stocks were traded in 178 deals valued at N153.488million.

Access Bank preceded Nem Insurance. In 266 trades, investors bought 128.643 million shares valued at N2.446 billion which plummeted by 25kobo and closed at N19.49 per share.

Investors in 420 trades ventured N1.234billion on N44, 791,293 shares rising by 81 kobo and closed at N27.80 per share. This made Intercontinental Bank third on the list.

The bank also traded among the volume drivers on Thursday by recording a turnover volume of 27,944,889 shares transacted 415 deals worth N748.699 million adding 13 kobo to close at N26.99 per share

International Energy Insurance Plc recorded 35,844,871 units of ordinary exchanging hands in 140 deals and rose by 5 kobo to close at N1.90 per share.

The risk underwriting company also traded among the volume drivers on Thursday as it exchanged 22,527,144 shares in 92 trades worth N40.992 million and slidding by 5 kobo to close at N1.85 per share.

Other volume drivers at the Exchange on Friday were First Inland Bank Plc, 29,711,406 shares, Fidelity Bank Plc 21,839,095 shares, Cornerstone Insurance Plc 14,045,535 shares, IBTC Chartered Bank Plc, 11,775,522 shares, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc 11,275,424 shares and Skye Bank Plc 10,186,466 shares.
