Owing to his aim of transforming African Petroleum (AP) to a transnational company, the Chairman of AP Plc, Mr. Femi Otedola, has opened an official station of the oil and gas company in Accra, Ghana.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Nigeria Ambassador to Ghana, who declared the station open, said the presence of AP in the country will usher in further developments and opportunities between the two countries while Mr. Tunde Falasinmu, the Chief Operating Officer, added that the company will deliver outstanding services to all its stakeholders.
In his own response, Lt. General Joshua Hamidu (Rtd), who was also the former High Commissioner of Ghana in Nigeria, now the Chairman of AP in
Ghana, said his country welcomes such development from different countries, especially the ECOWAS states.
It has been observed that after a new board of directors took over AP, new records such as; dividend announcement of N7 per share in the 2007 year ending, lunch of N50 per litre of kerosene in all its station nationwide and an excellent quarter result in 2008; have been noticed.
