Nigeria: Emperion hosts seminar on franchise programme

 Emperion West Africa had recently hosted a one-day seminar on its franchise programme in Lagos.

The well-attended and oversubscribed seminar gave officials of Emperion the opportunity to explain the franchise programme to its existing and potential dealers.

Managing Director, Mr. Sandeep Jayaswal led the Emperion team in the nearly three-hour presentation, which included the various programmes under the package.

The franchise programme is a nationwide programme with the primary objective of providing ordinary folks affordable Internet, which allows individual, small and medium businesses the opportunity to offer services through the franchise programme.

It will provide also a national stock and service support to achieve the objectives.

“Services will be standardised,” Sandeep told his audience that came from far and near.

The event, which held at the Ikeja Airport Hotel, Lagos, according to Sandeep, was highly rated.

“The programme will revive cyber cafZ businesses, use of online payment, financial help among others.

The programme was a nation wide one with the primary objective of providing ordinary citizens of Nigeria affordable Internet, allowing individual, small and medium businesses provide services by becoming medium businesses provide services, by becoming Emperion franchises.

To provide a national wide stock and service support to achieve the above objectives, covering Nigeria and bring small ISPs and cybercafe under one umbrella and providing them collective strength.

To train all the franchisees so that they can themselves install and maintain their equipment and network.

Revive Cyber CafZ business in Nigeria, build up national hot spot services with the help of individual and small business enterprise.

Standardise service and price, adaptability of equipment. Existing equipment in certain cases can be used to reduce capex. Use of online payment and online distribution of Internet time to use of online payment and online distribution of Internet time to franchise and financial help from micro finance banks for deserving franchisees.

Emperion concluded on September 15, a very successful showcase of there new Emperion Franchise Project. Such was the success that an arrangement of 100 seats hall in Airport Hotel in Ikeja was outnumbered and more than 200 guests attended the fully packed presentation.

The crowd even stood to view the presentation of Sandeep on Emperion’s new innovative business project of Franchise, which has taken nation’s Internet industry by storm. The audience truly represented Nigeria as people came from all parts of the country.

Sandeep explained in detail the Hot Zone, Cyber Zone, Video Zone, Stock Point Zone and Support Zone.

Audience did challenge Sandeep with the free bandwidth concept in Hot Zone to get reassurance if it was true or a marketing gimmick. To which Sandeep reassured that the bandwidth in Hot Zone is free and what Emperion was doing was sharing of revenues with its franchise, which is first of its kind in Nigeria.

The big surprise came to the audience with live video of keynote address of CEO of Andersen Advisory Group, Mr. Michael Andersen straight from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Andersen presented to the audience his keynote address and also took live questions from the audience. He emphasized the commitment of Emperion A/S Denmark in the Nigerian Internet market and his full support to the new franchise programme.

Needless to say people had many questions because of the new concept. Sandeep tried to answer all of them one by one and was ably supported by Eni Abugo, head of marketing team, Bala Mohammed, CTO, Joseph Adewoye and Taiwo Alabi from the sales team.
