Nigeria; Omatek Begins e-Xpress Computer Acquisition in Ghana

With a set goal of bridging the digital divide in Africa, Omatek Computers Ghana Limited, has taken its e-Xpress computer acquisition scheme to Ghana to enable more ghanians own computers and pay conveniently.

The scheme which was inaugurated with the Ministry of Communication under the Ghana Government Assisted Personal Computer Programme called i-Advance and in partnership with some banks, will alleviate computer ownership through its 12 to 24 months payment plan.

At the scheme inauguration, Dr. Benjamin Aggrey-Ntim, Minister of Communication, Ghana, expressed joy over the e-Xpress and i-Advance scheme, adding that it will further boost technology and e-governance in the country.

Mrs. Florence Seriki, Group Managing Director, Omatek Ventures Plc, commended Omatek for it efforts in producing computers and casings from completely knocked down components that are sourced from the highest grades of manufacturers in East, West and Central Africa.
