Omatek Partners Lagos on Easy Computer Ownership

In its drive towards bridging the existing technological gap between Africa and the rest of the world, Omatek Computers, once again, has agreed with the Lagos state government on a computer ownership scheme for public servants.
At the event, Mrs. Florence Seriki, Managing Director, Omatek, said the computers were sold under the e-Xpress scheme which was unveiled in 2004 for the benefit of civil servants, small businesses, educational sector and corporate companies in alliance with Afribank and First Bank.
Seriki continued by introducing 2 new brands of laptops weighing less than 2kg each which will come with the new Encanta software and the Windows XP Pro educational application.
She said the 8-inche notebook is designed to enable youths own a laptop at an affordable payment system while the 10-inch laptop is portable for executives.
In her response, Mrs. Sarah Sosan, Lagos State Deputy Governor, expressed her view on the partnership and urged civil servants to take advantage of the computer acquisition system.
