The management of Simba Motors has resolved to establish more outlets nationwide.

The Managing Director of Simba Motors, Mr. Dileep Banerjee explained at the just concluded Lagos auto fair that feedbacks so far received by the company indicated that its range of products was doing “very well” in the Nigerian market.

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero has however, called on the management of Simba Motors to maintain its status quo, saying quality is the key to the progress of any firm.

Speaking while receiving the management of Simba Motors in his palace, the monarch told the delegation that Kano was a commercial nerve of Northern Nigeria and the second most commercial city of the country after Lagos, and thus needed to forge economic interest of its people.

Towards this end, he said, “Kano will welcome any firm that is willing to establish or launch its product in the state because we always consider foreign firms as partners in progress. Kano State and its emirate are ever ready to support any firm that is willing to boost the economy of the state,” he reiterated.

Alhaji Ado Bayero, however, assured Simba management that Kano would continue to offer opportunities to foreign investors to invest in the state, as, according to him, it is one of the ways the economy of the state could improve.

The Emir further stated that “The only thing we need from firms like yours is quality services. Your contribution in the economy of the state is worthy of commendation, therefore, we want you to maintain the provision of quality products”.

Earlier speaking, the Managing Director of Simba Motors, Mr. Dileep Bannerjee told the Emir that they were in his palace to seek royal blessing. He revealed that Simba had been in Kano for the past 10 years, having been established in Nigeria about 20 years ago.

Dileep further said that they were in Kano to launch the Simba Changan Truck. The product, he added was of three categories 1.5, 3.5 and 5 tones and was earlier launched in Lagos. The new truck is highly qualitative and economical in terms of fuel consumption. Special discount was set aside for its dealers in the state.
