UAC of Nigeria Grows by N18.27b in Half Year

The UAC of Nigeria Plc has recorded an increase of 28.4% in all its turnover of N18.27 billion for the period of June 30, 2008 over the N14.23 billion of the same period in year 2007.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) of N2.85 billion was recorded which is an increase of 75% as against the N1.65 billion of last year while the PBT (including monitoring interest) rose to N3.17 billion, a change of 46.1% against the N2.14 of the period under review.

Mr. Larrry Ephraim Ettah, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, UAC, said the company will continue in its strategies to see the company’s profitability grow as shareholders continue to benefit from it.

The management of the company assures its focus on bringing the company to the leading position in the competitive food market.
