Open University Hosts 2nd ACDE on Tuesday

In order to further make education accessible in Africa, The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will host the 2nd African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) conference in Lagos on Tuesday, 8th of July 2008.
Professor Olugbenro Jegede, Vice Chancellor Of NOUN, said the ACDE was established in 2004 when participants instructor of Open Distant Learning (ODL) met in Kenya but Nigeria was given the opportunity to hold the 2nd conference after the 2005 conference .
The conference tagged “Open Distant Learning for Sustainable Education” will last for 4 days with a focus on how to enhance the quality of life using open and distance learning in Africa as an instrument.
