Our client, a well established Microfinance Bank in Nigeria (with operational bases in Port Harcourt) is seeking to expand its operations and is seeking to employ capable hands to mananage positions in the growing branch network.

The following positions need to be filled immediately:

Head of Operations – RMF 001

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day running of the Operations department of the branch.

Have oversight functions on all tellers/cashiers to ensure that transactions are posted accurately.

Exercise dual control over branch vault; responsible for keeping vault within approved limits.

Responsible for the integrity and correctness of transactions processed within the branch.

Act as number one Customer Service Officer, ensuring that all customer needs are adequately attended to.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelors degree in Accounting/Banking/Finance or related discipline.

A profession qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIBN)

A Masters degree will be an added advantage

5 years banking experience in a similar position.

Person Specifications

A keen eye for details

Numeracy and mathematical ability

Excellent communication skills

Sound administrative and supervisory skills

Age 35-40 years.

Internal Auditor – RMF 002

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, organise and carry out the internal audit function to verify accuracy of records, compliance with standards, policies and procedures.

Compile audit findings and make recommendations for modifications and improvements to systems and procedures.

Review audit policies and programs as well as monitor management’s response and implementation.

Coordinate coverage with the external auditors and ensure that each party is not only aware of the other’s work but also well briefed on areas of concern.

Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information that is provided for management

QUALIFICATIONS

A first degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or related discipline.

A profession qualification (ICAN, ACCA, CIBN)

A Masters degree will be an added advantage

5 years experience in a similar role

Experience in business analysis function preferably in a financial institution.
