The University of Ibadan Ventures limited is a chain of business concerns owned by Nigeria’s Premier university and located within its serene precincts. The business venture is run by the business/commercial outfit and it therefore seeks to employ officers to help take the company to its next level.

Chief Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

He will report to the Managing Director and the Board.

He will be responsible for the coordination of all financial matters of the company.

He would ensure that proper accounting procedures are adhered to and that the company keeps proper books of account as may be stipulated by legislation and regulation.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of BS.c/HND Accounting and ACCA/ACA plus 8 years post qualification experience.

He must be familiar with group accounts and must be proficient with the use of computer.

Company Secretary

RESPONSIBILITIES

The company secretary will report to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors and ensure that the company’s organs and employees comply with relevant laws, regulations and practice/directions issued by competent regulatory agencies.

He/she will arrange and manage Board and General meetings of their committees and handle legal matters and correspondence for the company.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a legal practitioner with at least 10 years corporate law working experience.

ACIS certification will be an added advantage.

Audit Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

He will report to the MD.

He will ensure that in all its transactions, the company complies with all internal control rules and regulations.

He is also to safeguard the assets of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

He must possess at least ACCA/ACA.

A 5 years post qualification experience.

Must be proficient in computer.

Hotel Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

He will report to the MD.

He will handle the various sections of the hotel; the accommodation, laundry, kitchen, restaurant, bar and conference center.

He is to improve the clientele and ensure quality service delivery.

He must be outspoken and have the drive to motivate and influence his environment.

REQUIREMENTS

He must have at least a 1st degree or HND in Catering and Hotel Management from a reputable institution.

5 years of cognate experience will be an added advantage.
