Ahead of the 2015 general elections, former Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd)has been told that he stood no chance of becoming the president even if he contests the election. The Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, told The Punch newspaper that even though the President was not focused on the 2015 elections yet, Buhari’s ambition could not ruffle the feathers of the Peoples Democratic Party, which Jonathan belongs to. Meanwhile, the National Publicity Secretary, Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Mr. Rotimi Fashakin has said that Buhari remains a major threat to the dominance of the PDP.
