7 Dead, 50 injured As A Result Of Gunmen Clash In Zamfara State

7 people have lost their lives and 50 have been injured as a result of reprisal attacks by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers. The gunmen were said to have opened fire in three villages in the Birnin Magaji Local government Area of Zamfara State, killing 7 people in the process. The gunmen were about 30 in number.

According to Commissioner of Police, Mr Akila Usman Gwary he said that the attack was one of revenge as the vigilante group had killed a few robbers during a robbery operation in the area. He said that armed policemen and plain clothes officers have been deployed to the area to monitor happenings and bring the perpetrators of such a dastardly act to justice.
