Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Liyel Imoke, Friday night, returned to the country after over three months outside the country. The Citizen newspaper reports that Imoke had left the country on November 19, 2012 after handing over to his deputy, Efiok Cobham. A statement by his office said he informed the state house of assembly on December 6 that he was proceeding on an accumulated leave outside the country, although speculations are rife that he underwent medical treatment for an undisclosed illness in the United States.
