FG Rewards Victorious Super Eagles with National Honours, Land

It was celebration galore, Tuesday, as the Federal Government honoured members of the Super Eagles and the technical crew with mouth -watering gifts and National Honours at a special dinner held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. According to channelstv.com, Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, received the sum of N10 million, a plot of land  in Abuja and the National Honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), while Assistant Coaches Daniel Amokachi and Ike Shorumi went home with N5 million, a plot of land each and Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). Each member of the victorious Super Eagles received Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), N5 million and also got a plot of land each in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Skipper of the team, Joseph Yobo, was  honoured with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) a plot of land in Abuja and N5 million. President Goodluck Jonathan also announced $1 million cash donation from telecommunications mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga to the players, and $200,000 to the Coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi. Other cash donations announced by President Jonathan include $500,000 each from Emeka Ofor, Jim Ovia and Tony Elumelu.
