Aminu Sule, the eldest son of Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido who was arrested last year on money laundering charges has been remanded in custody for a 24-hour period by a Federal High Court in Kano. The move according to reports is to enable the court decide on bail application. The Bayero University Kano Mass Communication graduate was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of money laundering contrary to relevant sections of the law. It would be recalled that Sule was arrested last December at the Aminu Kano International Airport on his way to Cairo, Egypt where he had over $50,000 on his person.
