Barely a week after the accident which left Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State with a shattered thigh, another accident involving the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Mommoh Jimoh Lawal, Thursday, occurred along the Okene-Lokoja road. The Citizen newspaper reports that the accident claimed the life of the  Speaker’s police escort, Constable Akeem Lamidi, who was said to have died when the Toyota Hilux van in which he and others were travelling collided with a truck. It was learnt that the Speaker’s car was not involved in the accident.
