Late Irawo Adamolekun, the 27-year-old medical doctor who shot dead in a Lagos traffic last week, by an unidentified gunman might have been assassinated. According to The Daily Post, the spokeperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, said that new evidence countered the initial suspicions that Adamolekun was a victim of armed robbery. Braide said that as at the time of Adamolekun’s murder, there was no heavy traffic at the scene of the crime at the Anthony end of Ikorodu Road, and the doctor’s car did not stop at that point but kept on moving. Braide added that the late Adamolekun’s telephone was also missing. Braide added that investigations were slow, because nobody was willing to come forward and make statements, including the family of the deceased.
