The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has called for a collective effort in tackling the growing insecurity in the country. Speaking during a courtesy visit to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, the Sultan called on Nigerians to come together in the fight against terrorism and other violent crimes in the country. He further said that terrorism, robbery, kidnapping and other criminal activities were not restricted to a particular religion or region of the country, stressing that challenges that come our way can ginger us to strengthen our resolve to meet them headlong, defeat them collectively in unity and forge a national cohesion. He also congratulated the Edo state governor on his re-election, urging him to continue the good work.
