The Chief Medical Director of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) , Prof. Akin Osibogun has refused to disclose the nature of Mr. Babalakin’s illness. He said that it was not within the hospital’s right to disclose the nature of illness Bi-Courtney CEO, Babalakin. In his words, “I cannot tell you that. I cannot even tell the wife unless I have to. If you come here and we discover that you have gonorrhoea do you expect me to tell your wife? It is against our ethics to do that unless there is a strong directive from above or by a court of law. ”

He also said that he wasn’t sure when Babalakin would be released but that he would consult with the consultant in charge of Mr. Babalakin’s case.
