Sanusi may face federal character hurdle as Senate decides fate today – The Guardian

With just a day at its disposal, the Senate has decided to spend its plenary session today to grill the nominee for the office of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Lamido Sanusi.
Senate spokesman, Ayogu Eze, told journalists yesterday in Abuja amidst grumbles from lawmakers of southern extraction that the managers of the Federal Government’s financial sector hail from Kano and Katsina states.
