Aug 15 for Ekiti North Senatorial rerun – The Nation

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to conduct election into the vacant Ekiti North Senatorial District on August 15.
This is sequel to the July 8 verdict of the Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, which nullified the election of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Mr. Ayo Arise and ordered a rerun election in the senatorial district within 90 days.
Arise approached the appellate court to challenge the August 27 judgment of the lower tribunal which nullified his election on account of massive electoral irregularities.
