The House of Representatives yesterday asked the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation to withdraw the court case he instituted over the crisis in the Aviation sector.
Rep Bethel Amadi(PDP,Imo State), chairman committee on Aviation briefed newsmen after emerging from a 6-hour closed door meeting between ministers of Aviation, Babatunde Omotoba, his Justice counterpart Michael Aondoakaa and the Bi-Courtney aviation services with the Aviation workers union.
He said the committee has directed all parties involved in the handover of the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) to maintain the status quo to allow the reconciliation effort to proceed.
He said: the committee had requested Aondoakaa to seek the leave of the court to allow time for the ongoing negotiation and reconciliation to be concluded.
When asked for comment on the MPs ruling, Aondoakaa said they were going to abide by the House’s position.
