Cash call crisis threatens 2010 budget – The Guardian

A Joint Venture Cash Call (JVC) crisis has joined the rash of obstacles to the successful take-off of the 2010 budget.
Already, the absence of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has been identified as a threat to the budget proposal, which is currently before the National Assembly.
But amid fear that the budget may be truncated by lack of sufficient funds, the Federal Government disclosed yesterday that it had voted N3.5 billion to build new houses for Vice President Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President David Mark and other officials.
