November 5, 2009 by Bunmi Awolusi
The Coalition of Democrats for Electoral Reforms (CODER) will soon commence massive voter enlightenment to sensitise Nigerians on the need to defend their votes in subsequent elections. Head of the CODER’s office in Abuja, Senator Abu Ibrahim, stated this when a team of leaders of the organisation led by Chief Ayo Opadokun visited the headquarters of Daily Trust in Abuja yesterday.
Senator Ibrahim said voter education is the next stage of CODER’s struggle for electoral reform in the country.
He stated that Nigerians must be made to understand that their votes are the potent tools for dislodging non- performing leaders from power.
“We are going into the second stage of voter education to enlighten Nigerians on the need to stand up and defend their votes.
