EFCC kicks as Justice joins Bode George’s bail battle – The Nation

November 16, 2009 by Bunmi Awolusi

There seems to be a row over the desperate battle to get Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Bode George out of jail.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) over the role of a Court of Appeal Justice on bail application for George, The Nation learnt yesterday.

The EFCC does not want the Justice to be a member of the panel of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal that will hear George’s application.

The former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP and five others were on October 26 jailed by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Ikeja Division of the High Court of Lagos State.
