EFCC remits Alamieyeseigha’s N3.1b loot to CBN – The Nation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has remitted N3, 128, 230, 294.83billion; $441,000; E7, 000 and £2,000 seized from ex-Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Also, the commission has returned the N2.8billion Chelsea Hotel and a mansion valued at N210million which were confiscated from the ex-governor to the Bayelsa State Government.
The Chairman of the EFCC, Mrs. Farida Waziri, who made the disclosures at the handing over of Chelsea Hotel to Governor Timipre Sylvia in Abuja, said the looting of Bayelsa State by Alamieyeseigha was a grave betrayal of public trust.
