Fashola presents N429.59bn 2010 Budget – The Nation

An 429.6billion budget, which will ensure the completion of old projects and encourage “viable” initiatives was presented yesterday by Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN).

The presentation at the House of Assembly was witnessed by top government officials, party chieftains and business leaders.

Deputy Governor Mrs. Sarah Sosan, the former governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Action Congress (AC) chair, Chief Dele Ajomale, Oba Riliwanu Akiolu 1 of Lagos, members of the State Executive Council and other stakeholders were there.

The “Budget of Consolidation” represents an increase of 5.7 per cent over the previous year’s. The estimated budget has a recurrent expenditure of N178.82bn and a capital expenditure of N250.8bn.
