Fela memorial events begin – The Guardian

Weeklong ceremonies marking the death of Afrobeat maestro, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, begin in Lagos today with a symposium at the Afrika Shrine in Ikeja.
To present papers at the symposium, which is part of the memorial package tagged FELABRATION 2009, include eminent Nigerians such as Ben Bruce, Odia Ofeimun and the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Alhaji Ahmadu Giade.
The events continue tomorrow till Sunday with a Felamatrix Quiz Show at 6.00p.m.
