The Edo State House of Assembly, dominated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has perfected plans to probe the Action Congress-led government of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over his performance in the last one year.
At its plenary yesterday, Speaker of the House Zakawanu Garuba directed civil commissioners in the state to forward copies of the brief on activities of their respective ministries to the House in the next two weeks following which they would take turns to appear before the lawmakers for presentation.
This call for probity is coming on the heels of the flamboyance displayed by the Oshiomhole-led administration in the past one week in the celebration of its first year in office.
But Speaker Zakawanu Garuba said the measure was to enable the House assess the level of performance of the 2009 budget and make projections for the 2010 budget.
