New Police Uniform Not For All – Onovo – Daily Independent

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ogbonnaya Onovo, has said that not all policemen will wear the new police uniform as it is meant to spot out senior officers from other ranks in the public.
The police boss stated this in a telephone chat with the Daily Independent from Abuja at the weekend against the backdrop of agitation by members of the rank and file that they want to wear the new uniform.
According to Onovo, “this is not something that should bring bickering and grumbling in the force because right from the word go, the idea was to make officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) differ from members of the junior rank.
