NUPENG evacuates workers from scene – The Nation

The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) yesterday withdrew its members from the Atlas Cove Jetty hours after it was blown up by militants.
NUPENG officials rushed to the scene immediately the news got to them, it was learnt.
NUPENG’s General Secretary Elijah Okougbo led the unionists to assess the situation at the jetty.
He said his union and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) did not lose any of their members.
