Obi floors Ngige, Soludo, Uba, Ekwunife, 20 others – The Nation

Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has been re-elected for another four-year term.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday declared him winner of Saturday’s governorship election.
He polled 97,843 votes and got the required spread to return to office.
Obi, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was trailed by Action Congress (AC) candidate Chris Ngige who polled 60,240 votes, winning in four local governments. The others are Peoples Democratic Party’s Prof. Chukwuma Soludo (59,355), Labour Party’s Dr Andy Uba (26,106), Hope Democratic Party (HDP), Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (20,777) and Progressives People’s Alliance (PPA), Hon. Uche Ekwunife (9,595).
Soludo won in two local governments; Uba, one and Ukachukwu, one.
This is the first time an incumbent has won re-election in the state.
