Osun AC warns INEC, PDP on rerun election – The Nation

The Osun State chapter of the Action Congress (AC) has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to succumb to pressures from Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and the PDP leadership in the state to separate the date of the rerun elections in Osogbo State Constituency and Osun East Senatorial District already scheduled for December 5.
In a statement signed by the party’s Director of Research and Strategy, Sunday Akere, Osun AC said it was aware of the moves being made to have the elections rescheduled since INEC announced the date last week.
Akere said: “The mastermind of the plan is Isiaka Adeleke, a senator from the state, who is using his position as the chairman of the Senate Committee on INEC to carry out the devious assignment.”
