Reps to investigate crash of navy aircraft – Daily Trust

The House of Representatives committee on Navy said it would investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash of the Nigerian Navy helicopter in the Niger Delta, which killed four naval officers.
Chairman of the committee, Rep Bashir Adamu Kazaure (PDP, Jigawa State) told newsmen in Abuja at the weekend that they have already requested the naval authorities to intimate the committee with its preliminary findings on the accident to determine their next line of action.
He said: “The committee is aware that the aircraft is among those that were purchased not very long time ago and that it should be in a very sound condition and I believe money were provided for their maintenance.
